Results

We were successful in creating the HSS.  We were able to implement all the features, unfortunately, we were not able to set up and use the infrared emitter and transmitter pair (Radio Shack 276-0142) as we had originally planed.

Our final product met all of our specifications and included all the features aforementioned in the "Overview" section.
