Abstract

I have been working on the project since a week before Spring break. The wiring and circuit building has been completed. Programming the Atmel Mega128 has just begun. The following sections will explain the project description; work completed; work remaining; conclusions and attachments.

Progress Report 2

        Abstract

The MP3 playback is now working and I am now working on the CD-ROM interface. I need to read the files on the CD and read the files with a mp3 extension. In this progress report I will outline the work completed as well as the work remaining.

Progress Report 3

Abstract

The CD-ROM failed to respond to a section request so professor Land agreed to let me use a PC to transfer the MP3 data instead of reading from the CD-ROM drive. Work on the serial transfer via Xmodem is near completion. This week will consist of mainly optimization and writing the user interface.
