Conclusions
The light tracker project met all of my initial expectations and performed well.
The software and hardware both were not overly complicated and it is feasible
that this project could be used as an ECE 476 lab. I initially had trouble with
the servo control and bad light sensors, but with a servo primer, ECE 476
students should be able to avoid most of the difficulties that I had. Ideally, I
should have soldered the light sensors to a small breadboard along with the
wires to the MCU and glued the entire assembly to the top of the servo instead
of using tape to hold everything together. I would have liked to incorporate a
second servo motor and additional light sensors to extend the light tracker to
be able to track sources in two dimensions, but I did not have enough time.
