Design of a high-speed interface between multiple digital
receivers and a PC

We require an interface from the outputs of 4 to 8
digital receivers (8 to 16 channels) to a PC that
will provide sustainable data transfer rates of
5 to 20 megawords per second. (One word would be
the numerical value of a digitally filtered voltage
that would typically have about 16 bits of dynamic
range.) The interface is to connect to a National
Instruments PCI card that provides a 32-bit parallel
buss. The design must provide for programming of
the digital filters that are key components of the
digital receivers. Provision should also be made
for programming the radar controller which requires
coordination with another project.
