Electric field animal presence detector

Abstract:
An electric field sensor was used to detect the presence of a mouse at a feeding dish. The Motorola field sensor is designed to be used to detect moving objects (such as people) by sensing the capacitance of the object. The resolution of the detector is 0.1 pf, with a range of 100 pf.
